Adolf Hitler (Führer und oberster Befehlshaber der Wehrmacht) congratulates General Maximilian Reichsfreiherr von Weichs (Oberbefehlshaber Heeresgruppe B) who has just received an extraordinary promotion from Generaloberst (Colonel-General) to Generalfeldmarschall (Field Marshal), February 1, 1943. In addition to receiving an official plaque, Weichs also received a Marschallstab (marshal's baton) specially made for him.
