der Infanterie Johannes Blaskowitz (Oberbefehlshaber 8. Armee). He wore
the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes around his neck, which he had only
gotten the day before straight from Hitler's hands. Another officer with
his back to the camera is Generalmajor Hans-Gustav Felber (Chef des
Generalstabes 8. Armee), while blocked by him (only visible his cap) is
General der Kavallerie Maximilian Reichsfreiherr von Weichs
(Kommandierender General XIII. Armekorps). Another officer who is
