The ceremony for the appointment of the new generals and marshals of Germany which was held on 19 July 1940 in Krolloper, Berlin. This photo shows Hitler greeting the new Generaloberst appointed on the same day. From left to right: Großadmiral Erich Raeder (Oberbefehlshaber der Kriegsmarine), Generalfeldmarschall Walther von Brauchitsch (back to the camera, Oberbefehlshaber des Heeres), and Generalfeldmarschall Erhard Milch (Generalinspekteur der Luftwaffe als Vertreter des Oberbefehlshabers Göring). German Generals in the Paris Parade 1940

 

Wehrmacht high ranking officers gathered at the victory parade of the German troops at the Place de la Concorde, Paris, which held on Friday, June 14, 1940. On that day the French capital fell to the Nazis, while 2,000,000 of its citizens had already fled. In preparation for the parade, the new authorities forbade local residents to approach the vicinity of the Place de la Concorde from 08:00 AM until the afternoon. Front row from left to right: Generalleutnant Hans von Salmuth (Chef des Generalstabes Heeresgruppe B), General der Artillerie Georg von Küchler (Oberbefehlshaber 18. Armee), Oberleutnant der Reserve Heinrich Graf von Lehndorff-Steinort (Adjutant Oberbefehlshaber Heeresgruppe B), General der Kavallerie Georg Stumme (with his back to the camera, Kommandierender General XXXX. Panzerkorps), and Generaloberst Fedor von Bock (Oberbefehlshaber Heeresgruppe B). In the background were rows of parked luxury cars, which were most likely the special rides of the high-ranking German officers who attended the event. General Georg von Küchler Decorates Stabsfeldwebel Georg Jura with Ritterkreuz

28 April 1943: Generalfeldmarschall Georg von Küchler (Oberbefehlshaber Heeresgruppe Nord) decorates Stabsfeldwebel Georg Jura (Führer 14.Kompanie / III.Bataillon / Jäger-Regiment 49 / 28. Jäger-Division) with Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes (Knight's Cross with the Iron Crosses) for his exceptional bravery in the battle at Lake Ladoga area. GFM Georg von Küchler with 12. Panzer-Division Officer

12. Panzer-Division incorporated remaining tanks from Panzer-Abteilung z.b.V.66 such as this VK 16.01. The picture also showing the commander with Generalfeldmarschall Georg von Küchler (Oberbefehlshaber Heeresgruppe Nord) in late 1942. The VersuchsKetten VK-1601 (experimental fully tracked vehicle 16 tons model 01) was a tank slightly based on the Panzer II. The object was to improve the armor and therefore the survivality in the battefield. In order to do so the frontal armor was 80 mm and 50 mm in the side hull /turret. This tank copied the crew layout in the Pz II , with an Tank commander/gunner/ loader, radio operator and driver. The development for an "ZERO" series was issued in December 1939, development of the chassis was entrusted ton MAN and the turret went to Daimler-Benz. The fisrt VK1601 was completed in June 1940.
