Generalleutnant Hans Kamecke (Kommandeur 137. Infanterie-Division) during an inspection of one of the battalion of his division in 1943. He became the commander of 137th Infantry Division on 22 December 1941, and held his position until his death on 16 October 1943. For his heroic deeds, Kamecke received the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes posthumously on 27 October 1943.
