Letter of Maximilian Felzmann


Maximilian Felzmann (1894 - 1962) is Austrian general of artillery in the Wehrmacht during World War II, and a recipient of the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes mit Eichenlaub (Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves). He commanded XXVII Armeekorps shortly before its destruction at Danzig. T.L.S., 1p. 4to., Seefeld, Feb. 21, 1960 to a researcher, in German. In part: '...It is a pity that I lost a lot of things as a result of the war, partly through bombs and partly through looting...write me more precisely what interests you the most...I no longer have a decent picture of myself...'
