Oberst Hans Cramer (Kommandeur Panzer-Regiment 8 / 15.Panzer-Division) is looking at a map in the company of his officers. The tall guy on the left with the armband "Kriegsberichter der Luftwaffe" is war correspondent Heinz Laubenthal of the 7th Propaganda Company of the Luftwaffe, while on the right with the Ritterkreuz slightly visible is probably Hauptmann der Reserve Johannes Kümmel (Chef 1.Kompanie / I.Abteilung / Panzer-Regiment 8). This picture was taken on 24-28 November 1941 during Operation Crusader, when Oberst Cramer led a Kampfgruppe of 15. Panzer-Division during the Axis counter-attack towards Egypt.
