Schwerter and Eichenlaub award ceremony for two brilliant Wehrmacht officers who excelled in warfare, which was held at the Berghof Obersalzberg on March 31, 1943. This photo shows when Adolf Hitler (Führer und Oberster Befehlshaber der Wehrmacht) shook hands with Generalmajor Georg-Wilhelm Postel (Kommandeur 320. Infanterie-Division), who earned the Eichenlaub #215 for his Ritterkreuz. Meanwhile, behind Postel wearing a black Panzertruppen uniform and giving a salute is Oberst der Reserve Hyazinth Strachwitz von Groß-Zauche (Kommandeur Panzer-Regiment "Großdeutschland"), who earned Schwerter #27 for his Ritterkreuz. On the same day and place, but at a different hour, was the awarding ceremony of the Schwerter #26 medal for SS-Obergruppenführer und General der Waffen-SS Josef "Sepp" Dietrich (Kommandeur SS-Panzergrenadier-Division "Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler").
