Josef Peters Explains his Experiences

Peters received the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on 6 April 1944 as Beobachter in 12.Staffel / IV.Gruppe / Kampfgeschwader 26 (KG 26), awarded for his participation in numerous successful sorties in the maritime bombardment role. By war's end he had partaken in just about 100 sorties, but in this time was involved in the sinking/damaging of about 110000 GRT of shipping.
