Alexander von Pfuhlstein and Brandenburger


The visit of Generalmajor Alexander von Pfuhlstein (second from left), who succeeded Oberstleutnant Paul Haehling von Lanzenauer and commanded the Division "Brandenburg" from 1 April 1943 until 11 April 1944. Imprisoned after being implicated in the 20 July 1944 bomb plot, he would survive the war, surrendereing to American forces at Wertheim, Germany, on 2 April 1945.
