Major Walter Gericke (center, Kommandeur II.Bataillon / Fallschirmjäger-Regiment 6 / 2.Fallschirmjäger-Division) at the heights of the Orsini Palace in Monterotondo, a town and comune in the Metropolitan City of Rome, central Italy, on 9 September 1943.
