Generalmajor Traugott Herr (Kommandeur 13. Panzer-Division) in a photo studio taken by Walter Frentz after he received the Eichenlaub for his Ritterkreuz from Hitler, in a ceremony held at Führerhauptquartier Wolfsschanze. Herr received the medal on 9 August 1942 for his Division’s capture of Rostov in the summer of 1942.
