Wilhelm Niggemeyer (9 May 1918 - 14 February 2008) received the Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes on 18 September 1942 as Leutnant der Reserve and Führer 2.Kompanie / Pionier Bataillon 26 / 26.Infanterie Division. He received the Eichenlaub #241 for his Ritterkreuz on 17 May 1943 as Oberleutnant der Reserve and Bataillonsadjutant Pionier Bataillon 26 / 26.Infanterie-Division.
