Generalmajor Ferdinand Schaal (Kommandeur Panzer-Brigade 1 / 1.Panzer-Division) saluting the march past of his troops in the city market of Saaz during the German military parade in the newly occupied Sudetenland, Czechoslovakia, 9 October 1938. The 1st Panzer Division took part in the occupation of the Sudetenland under the command of XVI Armeekorps.
