Officers of the newly activated III.Gruppe / Jagdgeschwader 53 (JG 53) at Wiesbaden-Erbenheim in the autumn of 1939. They are, from left to right, Leutnant Friedrich-Karl Müller, an unidentified hauptmann of ground personnel (dark collar tabs), Hauptmann Werner Mölders (Gruppenkommandeur) and Oberleutnant Hans von Hahn (Staffalkapitän 8./JG 53).
