Panzerarmee), while Generalfeldmarschall Wilhelm Keitel looks on. Signed on the lower right "Adolf Hitler - 11. Dez. 1944" in ink. Mounted on passepartout. Only a few days later, the Ardennes Offensive started on 16 December 1944, the last major operation of the German Wehrmacht during which von Manteuffel was awarded the 24th Brillanten to his Ritterkreuz.
