* Biehl, who was a member of the local council in Philippsheim for 20 years, is the 18th recipient of the Ritterkreuz to have reached the age of 100  - he would not lived to see his 101st birthday.
* Oberfeldwebel a. D. Johannes "Johann" Biehl passed away in March 2017 at the age of over 100. On March 16, 2017, his urn was buried in the presence of family and friends.
