28 April 1943: Generalfeldmarschall Georg von Küchler (Oberbefehlshaber Heeresgruppe Nord) decorates Stabsfeldwebel Georg Jura (Führer 14.Kompanie / III.Bataillon / Jäger-Regiment 49 / 28. Jäger-Division) with Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes (Knight's Cross with the Iron Crosses) for his exceptional bravery in the battle at Lake Ladoga area. The picture was taken by Kriegsberichter Freckmann.
